The MSR FreeLite™ 1 V3 trekking tent offers a pretty exceptional weight-to-comfort ratio. With a weight of 890 g and minimal folded dimensions, it fits easily into a backpack. You can even reduce the weight if you don't take the storage bag or decide to leave the flysheet at home for a bivouac under the stars. You then have a simple mosquito net to protect you from insects.

In terms of comfort, the MSR FreeLite 1 sets the bar high. Despite its minimal weight, the tent has all the features of a classic dome tent. First of all, it's a double-walled tent. The main advantage is that this prevents condensation thanks to better ventilation with the micromesh inner fabric. Secondly, the tent is semi-self-supporting. You won't need your trekking poles or numerous sardines to hold it up. One or two should suffice (although more is recommended for greater stability). Finally, the interior is spacious, with plenty of storage space for your gear or headlamp.

Assembly is simple and intuitive. That's because this is a semi-supported tent. In just a few minutes, your bivouac shelter will be ready. The DAC NFL poles are sturdy and stand up to adverse conditions. Both the flysheet and the floor have been treated with DuraShield™ polyurethane, making them waterproof (Schmerber rating 1200 mm). Finally, the apse door is wide, allowing a good view from your mattress when you wake up in the morning. It includes a StayDry™ gutter preventing water from dripping on you or your equipment.
