A typical South African recipe, Ember biltong is made from beef. It is first dried before being cut into thin slices. It's ultra-rich in protein, making it a popular snack for athletes. Each 25 g portion contains 12 g of protein. It is ideally eaten after intense physical effort, but can also be enjoyed during exercise.
