Osprey's Hikelite 28 is what we call a daypack, in other words, a backpack for day hikes. It can also be used for multi-day treks if you have little equipment and sleep in a refuge.

With a capacity of 28 liters, the Osprey Hikelite 28 backpack is highly appreciated for its featherweight (less than 1 kg) and carrying quality. It features a LightWire alloy frame for even weight distribution and stability. There's also AirSpeed suspension, a stretched mesh panel providing an airy space between your back and the bag for better ventilation. Last but not least, the hip belt, a rarity on hiking backpacks of this size, takes the load off your shoulders and helps them support the load you're carrying.

In addition to comfort, the Hikelite 28 has a number of interesting features. Attachment loops are provided on the side to fasten your poles. Numerous external pockets provide quick access to small items. These include a large front pocket, stretch mesh pockets for an umbrella and water bottle, and two pockets (one zipped, the other mesh) on the waist belt for a smartphone, energy bar or sunscreen. A rain cover is also supplied, and the bag can hold a water pouch. An opening is provided for a hydration hose.
