The Zpacks Duplex tent is designed for two people. Weighing in at just 525 g, it's a popular choice with thru-hikers and light travelers in general.

Unlike its competitors of the same weight, the Zpacks Duplex offers more space. Its 114 cm width allows two Regular-size mattresses (51 or 55 cm wide, depending on the brand) to pass through. As for the 122 cm height, you'll be able to sit comfortably.

To achieve these attractive features, Zpacks uses dyneema. This material is both light and resistant. A floor mat is not necessary to protect it. Dyneema is also hydrophobic and has not been treated with silicone or polyurethane. Even so, it provides an excellent barrier against the rain. Finally, this material is easily repaired with patches in the event of a tear.

The other special feature of the Zpacks Duplex tent concerns pitching. Gone are the heavy, cumbersome and fragile poles, replaced by hiking poles. All you have to do is stretch the canvas on both sides with your poles. It's quick and easy, which is always appreciated after a hard day's work.

The Duplex has two doors and two apses, so your adventure companion won't be in the way when you enter or leave. As it is a single-wall model, it is advisable to ventilate it well to prevent condensation at night. Finally, tent pegs are not supplied. We recommend using a minimum of 8 to tighten the fabric.
