The famous Thermarest XLite mattress is also available in a Max version, a rectangular mattress offering greater comfort while retaining an ultra-light weight. This new mattress offers 83% less noise than its predecessor, as well as better R-Value (4.5 vs. 4.2) and thickness (7.6 cm vs. 6.4 cm). A feat that will delight all outdoor enthusiasts!
The R-Value is an indicator that measures the thermal insulation of a mattress. It's a standard norm common to all models, regardless of brand, and provides an objective basis for comparison. As mentioned above, the Thermarest XLite NXT air mattress has an R-Value of 4.5, which means it can sleep on snow-covered ground without getting cold. Perfect for year-round bivouacs.
