Description
The Exos 48 from Osprey is a hiking backpack that combines comfort and lightness. With a capacity of 48 liters, it's ideal for multi-day outdoor activities such as the GR®, and can carry a change of clothes, kitchen equipment or bivouac gear (tents, mattress, sleeping bag...). You can also slip a water bag into the compartment provided. A small hole is provided for the hydration hose.
In terms of design, the Opsrey Exos 48 backpack features a sturdy frame designed to distribute the load more evenly. AirSpeed suspension technology provides a ventilated space between the back and the pack, limiting perspiration. The shoulder straps are padded for shoulder and torso comfort. Finally, the waistbelt hugs the hips perfectly and supports a large part of the load, taking the load off the shoulders.
Fully adjustable, this trekking backpack adapts to almost any morphology. The chest straps are adjustable, as are the shoulder straps and waist belt. Back length is also adjustable, from 48 to 58.5 cm.
As for storage, the Osprey Exos 48 has a main compartment with a place for a water pocket, as mentioned above. It opens from the top with a drawstring. A flap on top of the hat provides protection from the rain. Speaking of the hat, it has two zipped pockets: one mesh on the inside and one on the outside, giving quick access to accessories such as a rain cover or headlamp.
The waistband also features two zippered pockets. Ideal for a smartphone or energy bar. Finally, there are two mesh pockets on the side walls for a water bottle or other items, and a pocket with hook-and-loop fastener on the front for a freeze-dried meal or waterproof jacket, for example.
The Osprey Exos 48 hiking backpack is :
- Slightly heavier than the Exos Pro 55, but more comfortable
