Description
The StratoSpire 1 (mesh) is a double-wall hiking tent that is set up with hiking poles. This type of construction has two advantages: the double wall is an excellent way to counter condensation, and the pole setup allows for lightweight design without a central hoop. With a total weight of less than 1 kg, it is an ideal model for hikers looking for a lightweight option.
The StratoSpire tent is equipped with a 20 denier nano ripstop polyester fly that does not sag in the rain, and a 30 denier nylon 66 floor, both with a 3,000 mm waterproof rating. Its double-wall system with No-see-Um mesh limits condensation and provides additional storage space with its double doors and vestibules.
Adjustable ventilation features allow for control of moisture buildup while maintaining effective protection against elements such as wind or rain. The shelter includes internal storage pockets, clips for gear organization, and specially designed door loops to maximize space in narrower bivouac configurations.
The setup of the StratoSpire 1 is both quick and intuitive, requiring only six stakes (not included) and can be done in less than three minutes.
In terms of dimensions, the tent has a height of 122 cm, with a floor that can expand from 81 to 102 cm wide and a length of 218 cm, providing a total interior area of 1.8 m² and 2.36 m² for the vestibules. When packed, this flagship model from Tarptent measures 41 cm by 10 cm.
