Description
The Lunar Solo is a tent designed for hiking or bikepacking that has won numerous awards, including one at the OutDoor by ISPO in 2019 and more recently the "Best Gear Award" by The Trek magazine in 2024.
These awards are explained in particular by an ingenious design and a lightweight. Indeed, the Lunar Solo from Six Moon Designs weighs only 740 g, while offering very good comfort. Able to accommodate one person, it has an entrance and a vestibule located on the side. The 2.4 m² floor area allows you to store a mattress and your equipment without any problem. Finally, the 122 cm height offers the possibility of sitting upright.
In terms of construction, the Lunar Solo has a pyramid shape and walls whose angle reinforces wind resistance. The vestibule side is double-walled with the presence of a mosquito net. The opposite side is single-walled to save weight. As for the setup, it is done with hiking poles and six tent stakes (sold separately). If you walk without poles, it is possible to acquire a 124 cm carbon fiber pole.
