Description
The Mirage 3/4 is a sleeping bag designed by Valandré, known for its durable and reliable equipment for high mountain expeditions. The Pyrenean brand also has some ultralight models, including the Mirage 3/4. It features high-quality down in an anatomical cut that provides a comfort temperature of 0°C for a weight of 750 g (Regular size). Perfect for 3-season bivouacs!
The Mirage is filled with French gray goose down (95% down, 5% feathers) with a fill power of 800 cuin according to the European standard, which corresponds to a fill power between 850 and 900 cuin according to the American standard used by other manufacturers (Thermarest, NEMO, Sea to Summit...). As for the fabric, it is Asahi Kasei Impact 66, a Ripstop nylon that has undergone a DWR treatment to provide water repellency to the down.
In terms of construction, the Valandré Mirage 3/4 sleeping bag is divided into 16 horizontal tubular compartments. To prevent cold spots, Valandré applies a cold-weather flap along the zipper. The zipper is only present on 3/4 of the length (hence the name Mirage 3/4) in order to also limit cold entry points. Finally, a cord allows you to adjust the size of the hood to fit your head.
