The Arcturus Outdoor Survival Blanket is the accessory you need to have in your backpack. Its 4 eyelets make it highly versatile. It is multi-functional: tarp, emergency shelter, groundsheet, survival blanket and more. With its paracord, it's easy to hang it on a tree. Moreover, it is compact and lightweight. You can therefore easily slip it into your backpack.
This thermal survival blanket is made of polypropylene on one side and Mylar on the other. Polypropylene is renowned for being resistant and waterproof. So you won't risk tearing your tent if you use it as a footprint and it will protect you from rain and wind if you use it as a cover. As for Mylar, it is a polyester film that reflects and insulates 90% of body heat. It is an excellent thermal barrier. Its light grey colour makes it easy to spot by emergency services.
Finally, the Survival Blanket manufactured by Arcturus comes with a storage cover. The latter is highly useful to avoid getting your backpack dirty or wet when storing your blanket. For fans of ultra-light walking, it is possible to make do without the cover. You will save 50 g.
