That's why Ticket to the Moon has designed Moon Tarp, a tarp or awning to protect you from heavy rain. It is also very useful against strong winds or even the sun at siesta time.

The Moon Tarp significantly improves your comfort at camp. Made from tear-proof nylon, this material is also waterproof and lightweight. What's more, the 8 attachment points (4 of which have buckles) on this rain tarp allow you to arrange it any way you like, so you can angle it perfectly to suit the weather conditions.

instructions for use: 1. Release the opposite loops and the lark's head, using ropes with the same trees as your hammock, place them under the hammock suspension 2. Reattach the loops and adjust the tension to straighten the tarp 3. Use the stakes to secure the remaining corners. Optionally use a rope to attach the four eyelets, minimizing the tarp's movement. 4. Ensure all ropes and cords hang down to keep water away from your hammock

I haven't had it long, but it looks solid, especially with the reinforcing seams. Tested the first time during a stormy night, it stayed dry on the inside. What made me choose this tarp was its attachment system. I love sleeping under the stars in my hammock, and I've already been caught in the middle of my sleep having to urgently set up my tarp, make the knots, etc. Well, this one's perfect! No matter what the weather is like, I just place the 4 ropes and when I need to, all I have to do is clip the corners of the tarp and stretch the whole thing out properly, in short, it's child's play!
