Created in 2019, 4ultra is a French sports nutrition brand designing savory energy purées. Its founder, Pierre Cursan, is an outdoor enthusiast who has worked for over 10 years in the food supplements sector. The brand's aim is to offer products that are healthy for the body and respectful of the environment.

Salted energy purées

This is the specialty of 4ultra, which has set out to create an alternative to sugary snacks. When the body reaches sweet saturation during an effort, it becomes impossible to ingest anything. This often happens during ultra-trails in particular. The idea behind 4ultra water bottles is to avoid reaching this level by offering salty sports nutrition.

The recipes are based on vegetables, an important source of vitamins, spices for flavor and salt to compensate for the loss of minerals caused by perspiration. 4ultra purées are 100% natural. You won't find long ingredient lists with ingredients few know what they're really for.

4ultra purée has the texture of what might also be called an energy compote. It's smooth and easy to digest. The vegetables have been chosen for their alkalizing properties (negative PRAL index) and low glycemic index. So you won't feel hungry during your efforts.

4ultra, a company with strong values

The French brand is committed to its values. These include designing 100% organic products. All 4ultra purée ingredients are organically grown. In addition, all vegetables are grown in France and, whenever possible, close to the production site, which is located in Gironde. In addition, most of the vegetables are sourced from Terra Alter Gascogne, an association also involved in social reintegration. Finally, the recipes are vegan, with no additives, colorants or preservatives.

When it comes to packaging, 4ultra is committed to ecological packaging. To this end, they have designed recyclable bottles. All you have to do is return them to the organic stores participating in the COLLECTBIO program, when you've finished them. What's more, there's no over-packaging. Lyophilise & Co receives batches of purées in reused shoeboxes. Finally, the displays in our store are made from reused pallets. There are no small gestures for the environment!

The brand's name leaves little doubt as to its preferred sport:ultra-trail running. 4ultra water bottles can be enjoyed during the Marathon des Sables, the UTMB, the Diagonale des Fous or the Ultra Marin. But they're also ideal for other outdoor activities: trekking, running, bikepacking and other sports en -ing.

This healthy snack can also be enjoyed when you're feeling a little hungry, at work for example.
