Peny comes from Brittany and completes our range of sterilized meals. The brand may not be well known to the general public, but many sailors and servicemen are already familiar with these meals, which are supplied in French army rations.
Heavier than a freeze-dried meal with its 300-gram "ready-to-eat" portion, the Peny meal is not intended for activities where you need to carry your equipment over several days. That said, it's perfect for road-trips, sailing, picnics or short hikes. The meal is easily heated by placing the tray over a flame or in a pot of boiling water, and many recipes can be eaten cold.
Finally, with a 4-year expiry date and perfectly stackable tins, PENY meals can easily be stored in a cupboard for a small reserve of emergency meals, or for future adventures!
