January 2022: Recap of Arnaud Fraisse’s Visit, President of Secouristes Sans Frontières

At the end of January 2022, Arnaud Fraisse, founder and president of Secouristes Sans Frontières (SSF), paid a visit to our offices in Lorient. During his visit, we had the opportunity to present a donation check to the association’s endowment fund and conduct an interview where he shared insights about the organization, its missions, and its collaboration with Lyophilise & Co.

1. What is Secouristes Sans Frontières?

Founded in 1978, Secouristes Sans Frontières is a volunteer humanitarian organization that assists populations affected by natural disasters and specializes in locating victims during earthquakes.

The association also operates an endowment fund to collect donations that finance future missions. SSF additionally engages in pandemic prevention efforts, particularly in countries like Lebanon and Tunisia.

Secouristes Sans Frontières and Lyophilise & Co have been partners for several years. SSF initiated the idea of creating emergency kits that allow individuals to sustain themselves for 72 hours during catastrophic situations. Developed in 2019 and updated in 2021, these evacuation bags ensure that individuals can survive without lacking essential food and supplies until help arrives. The kits, available on Lyophilise & Co’s website, are designed to meet the needs of individuals or families during crises. The waterproof and dustproof backpacks can be stored at home and include first aid supplies, water, food, lighting, and shelter materials.

2. Donation Check Presentation from Lyophilise & Co to SSF

For each evacuation bag sold, Lyophilise & Co donates a 10% commission to the SSF Endowment Fund, helping them build a stockpile of equipment and an emergency fund to support rescue teams during catastrophic events. In 2021, these sales generated over €1,500 for the NGO.

3. Hand Sanitizer Donations

Thanks to a significant donation of hand sanitizer from a French company, SSF distributed these products to charitable organizations in need, such as Secours Populaire, as well as partner companies, including Lyophilise & Co.

During his visit to our offices on January 28, 2022, SSF’s president generously donated over 2,500 bottles of hand sanitizer. As a result, while supplies lasted (expected to run out by mid-March 2022), all Lyophilise & Co customers received a complimentary bottle of hand sanitizer with their purchases.

At Lyophilise & Co, supporting those in need is a core value. The entire Lyo team is proud to collaborate with Secouristes Sans Frontières and contribute in any way we can, no matter how small. Our evacuation bags will remain a key part of our offerings and will continue to be updated to meet evolving needs.
