Press release

Lorient, November 13, 2017

True to its ambitions for growth and to increase awareness of its products, Lyophilise & Co has partnered with Swiss sailor Alan Roura, who will proudly represent the brand in his upcoming races.

Alan Roura is a 24-year-old Swiss skipper who has been passionate about the sea and sailing since childhood. After notable participations in the Mini-Transat (2013) and the Route du Rhum (2014), he placed 10th in the Transat Jacques Vabre (2015) and became the youngest participant in the 2016-2017 Vendée Globe aboard his 60-foot Imoca La Fabrique. In 2017, impressed by Alan Roura's extraordinary journey and potential, Lyophilise & Co decided to support the young Swiss sailor in his upcoming maritime adventures, alongside the La Fabrique Sailing Team. As an official ambassador for the brand, Alan Roura is now embarking on a major race, the Transat Jacques Vabre, with co-skipper Frédéric Denis.

Founded in 2010, Lyophilise & Co specializes in provisioning and currently offers a wide variety of products—over 1,000 items and 450 different recipes—ranging from freeze-dried, canned, and sterilized meals for the maritime world, sports nutrition, and extreme sports. Based in the heart of the Pôle Course au Large in Lorient, the company is ideally located to support sailors and supply them for major races.
