Description

Onigiri is a compact rice dumpling, usually in the shape of a triangle, served with one or more ingredients. In the recipe prepared by Japanese brand Onisi Foods, the rice is flavored with a variety of small vegetables. You'll find light bits of carrot, shiitake (an Asian mushroom) and banana.

It's prepared in the same way as a freeze-dried meal. Simply open the sachet, pour in the amount of water indicated on the packaging, close the sachet and wait around 15 minutes. The result is a richly-flavoured, nutritious onigiri.

Vegetable onigiri is :
- Compact and light, ideal for outdoor activities (trekking, sailing, kayaking...)
- Can be eaten as a snack or meal
- 5-year shelf life after manufacture

taste: excellent, but not easy to do without a simple bouille (Translated review)
