This dish, familiar to some and unknown to others, is a culinary specialty that originated in Portugal.
For the record, this dish originated in Lisbon and was cooked by a tavern-keeper named Brás. Bacalhau means "cod" in our language, so Bacalhau à Brás means Cod à Blaise.
