Description

The body is made up of electrolytes, which are mineral salts circulating in the blood and present in the cells. During physical activity, the body sweats and rapidly becomes dehydrated. Electrolytes are then lost in sweat, and it is strongly recommended to assimilate them during long periods of exertion. This helps prevent a drop in performance. These salt capsules from TA Energy are therefore ideal for ultra-trailers (especially Marathon des Sables participants) and for long-duration activities and/or hot weather (summer treks, for example).

Easy to assimilate, these capsules are caffeine-free and contain ginger to combat stomach upsets. Rich in sodium, this is the main electrolyte lost in sweat. Electrolytes Plus capsules are therefore ideal for preventing a drop in performance.

In terms of consumption, the French brand TA Energy recommends taking 1 to 2 capsules per hour during exercise with water. It may also be useful to consume them in the days leading up to an event in hot climatic conditions.
