This classic-looking flexible water tank has the advantage of converting into a shower. Handy for expeditions.
The Sea to Summit Watercell X water tank is flexible and lightweight, making it ideal for all types of expeditions: hiking, camping, packraft, road-trip, bikepacking, kayaking, boating, etc. It comes in different sizes (4, 6 and 10 liters), depending on your needs and capacities.
While on the surface this water pouch looks like all the others, in reality it's different. Supplied with two types of stopper, you can either choose the classic continuous flow for filling a water bottle and washing up, or opt for the shower mode. Even in the middle of the forest, you can take a shower by hanging the water pouch from a tree. Made from 400-denier nylon with a TPU film (BPA- and PVC-free), Sea to Summit's Watercell X is flexible, waterproof and robust. It resists abrasion and shocks.
Dark gray in color, you can quickly fill the tank with water thanks to its removable cap with wide opening, then leave it in the sun to heat the water. Conversely, slipping in ice cubes will keep the water cooler for longer.
When it comes to transport, the Sea to Summit Watercell X is equipped with straps on both sides of the reservoir, as well as a handle. So you'll have no trouble carrying it, hanging it from a tree or the roof of your van, or clipping it to your backpack. Finally, it's not advisable to clean the pouch with bleach, as this can leave an aftertaste. Use cleaning tablets instead.
The Sea to Summit Watercell X water tank is :
- Compatible with 63 mm water filters
- A flexible water bag that won't give your water a bad taste
- The possibility of connecting a hydration tube (sold separately)

The MSR looks sturdier, but it's heavier and doesn't have a shower nozzle. The design looks sturdy and the cap reliable. To be seen in use (Translated review)
A flexible 4-liter reservoir, ideally sized so as not to weigh too much and to allow water autonomy (weekends or outings) at the bottom of your bag, or even in the trunk of your car. Sturdy, reliable and not too watery. Empty, it doesn't take up space; full, it's stable and won't leak. If need be, the cap can be used to improvise an outdoor shower (and the dark color of the tank quickly warms the water in the sun). Well done to the Lyophilise team for this quality product, shipped with care and on time! (Translated review)
