The NATO-certified MRE ration will provide you with 3600 Kcal of high, balanced energy. It consists of 1 breakfast and 2 main courses with their own self-heating systems. The two main dishes are pasta with chicken bolognese and cheese, and beef stew with vegetables.
These food rations meet the nutrient requirements set by NATO for individual operational rations for military use.

      But, as has been the case for years, it's still impossible to open products in individual plastic trays without tools. The lid remains hopelessly sealed, and the "lugs" for gripping the lid rip off before you've managed to open the thing.
