This cooking system is one of the easiest to use. It's the ideal solution for cooking, reheating a dish or simply heating water in the wilderness under standard conditions. International standard EN417 gas cartridges are widely used around the world, and are suitable for all gas stoves except Camping Gaz. They're easy to find on your travels.

There are several types of gas stoves for travel and hiking. There are the classics, where you simply screw the gas cartridge onto the stove burner. There are also stoves with a remote gas cartridge, offering greater stability. You'll be able to fit larger pots and pans. Then there are regulated gas stoves which, as the name suggests, regulate pressure and thus optimize gas consumption. Regulated stoves work best in difficult weather conditions (wind, altitude...).
