Gravity filters

For group travel, camping, base camp or bivouac, the most practical solution is the Gravity Water Filter. This non-pumping filtration system allows you to filter water anywhere on earth. These filters, which are less efficient than pump-operated systems, are easy to use: simply fill their reservoir, and you can filter a large quantity of water effortlessly. These mechanical Gravity Water Filters are equipped with either a ceramic filter or a fiberglass filter. Camping Gravity Water Filters then work in the same way as pump filters. Pathogens that are too large, protozoa and bacteria with a minimum size of 0.2 microns, do not pass through the pores of the 0.2-micron size filter. This "strainer" type system allows the water to be filtered at the outlet into your jerrycans, water bottles or any other container. The Katadyn Drip Gravidyn is the only gravity-fed water filter to be equipped with activated carbon, which is effective against chemical substances and therefore against bad tastes and odors. These high-capacity water filters are ideal for transporting and filtering dubious-looking water, whether very turbid or cloudy, effortlessly.
