Description

The Therm-a-Rest Vesper 45F/7C quilt has a comfort temperature of 11°C, making it perfect for summer hiking or self-sufficiency ultra-trails like the Marathon des Sables. Its main asset is its weight: 340 g for the Regular model and 390 g for the Long model.

To achieve this weight-to-heat ratio, Therm-a-Rest fills its quilts with 900 cuin goose down (IDFB standard). This is then covered with 10-denier Ripstop nylon. The outer fabric has a water-repellent coating (DWR = Durable Water Repellent). This is the same water-repellent treatment used on Gore-Tex products. As well as being lightweight, these materials are compact and don't weigh down the backpack.

The Vesper 45F/7C quilt, not to be confused with a sleeping bag, can be attached to the mattress using SynergyLink™ connectors. This limits cold entry points. What's more, the collar and perimeter are padded to avoid thermal bridges too.
