Description
The Rab Alpine 800 is a sleeping bag suitable for winter outdoor activities. According to the manufacturer's own measurements, the temperature limit is -16°C. This corresponds roughly to a comfort temperature of -8°C. Perfect for tackling harsh winter temperatures!
To achieve this level of warmth, the Rab Alpine 800 is filled with 800g of duck down with a loft of 650 cuin. This is covered on the outside with Pertex® Quantum, a nylon renowned for its wind resistance, and on the inside with a recycled nylon lining. A water-repellent coating increases resistance to humidity, such as condensation that can form in a tent.
In addition to the down, Rab has focused on winter essentials, starting with herringbone compartmentalization on the upper chest. This holds the down in place and distributes it evenly.
The compartments are also divided trapezoidally to optimize warmth. The Rab Alpine 800 sleeping bag also features a tightenable, down-filled collar. Finally, an insulating flap at the zipper prevents heat from escaping. All in all, the Alpine 800 weighs just 1.2 kg and is ideal for year-round bivouacs.
