The Zoom UL Insulated air mattress from Big Agnes is perfect for outdoor adventurers looking for lightness and versatility. Its ultra-compact size makes it easy to store in a backpack.

The Zoom UL has an R-value of 4.3, offering excellent insulation against the cold. This makes it suitable for comfortable use in summer, spring, autumn and even early winter.
For more rigorous winter expeditions, the addition of a foam mat underneath is recommended.
Big Agnes didn't just rely on an excellent weight-insulation ratio. It has also ensured comfort by offering an inflatable mattress with a thickness of 9 centimetres.
What's more, the quilted sleeping surface offers stability. The lightweight yet sturdy recycled nylon ripstop cover is reinforced by an aircraft-grade TPU laminate, guaranteeing the mattress's durability and resistance.

Bought to replace my mummy-shaped Thermarest neo air Xlite, it's undeniably more comfortable. On the other hand, it's heavier, especially as its thicker and larger size makes it difficult to inflate by mouth and dispense with the 80-gram inflator bag. Another disadvantage is the impractical cap, which makes deflation difficult. You can't just deflate the mattress and throw it in your bag; you have to roll it up in your bag. (Translated review)
