Description

The Silky Gomboy 210-10 is a medium-toothed folding Japanese saw. Compact and lightweight, it fits perfectly in a backpack when you're out hiking or bushcrafting. Supplied with a carrying case, you can even clip it to your belt.

Silky saws are renowned the world over, and for good reason: the sharpness of their blades is second to none. The Gomboy 210-10 is no exception. The blade measures 21 cm and can cut fresh wood with a diameter of 10.5 cm. It is equally effective on wet or snow-covered wood.

The Gomboy 210-10 is made from premium materials. The laser-cut blade is made of genuine Japanese steel, making it robust and supple at the same time. Its surface is then chrome-plated to reinforce its strength and increase its resistance to rust and resin. As for the handle, it is made of "GOM" rubber, which absorbs vibrations while providing excellent grip even in wet conditions or when wearing gloves.

To maintain its effectiveness, the blade must be cleaned after each use. The resin can be dissolved with olive oil. More aggressive solvents are not recommended, as they may damage the handle.

Well, I have an opinel 12 as a saw, so I switched to this model for larger diameters. It's comfortable in the hand, the grip is soft and grips well even when wet. The disadvantage is that it's much heavier than the Opinel, but more versatile. you can lock the blade in two positions for pruning dry, high branches, which is perfect and makes perfect starter dry wood. Overall, I don't like it. (Translated review)
